Learning at home makes the students more vulnerable to distractions. With the added pressure from the external environment, it is really easy for students to feel drained and unmotivated. Being in that situation can affect one’s productivity.
No student wants to be stuck in cramming and procrastinating all day. So, here are some habits you can build to boost your productivity!
1. Plan your day
Yes, write it down! In your to-do list, allocate each task with a time frame so you can stay on track with the activities you need to do for the day.
Stop doing a mental list because it can be quite messy if you’re just gonna keep it all in your head.
2. Set your productivity phase
This is important because you're creating your productivity scheme. In my case, I do my longer and more difficult tasks first thing in the morning.
Knowing when you’re at your most productive will help you in planning your day. Using that time to complete the most difficult tasks, and the rest of the time to recharge or relax.
3. Take breaks in between
Do not finish everything in one sitting! This kind of habit tends to burn you out. That is why you’re planning your day and creating your productivity scheme. Note: Take your breaks responsibly!
Try to minimize distractions that might prevent you from completing all of your activities.
4. Get in the habit of saying no
If you keep saying yes to anything, you'll never make any progress toward your goals. Focus on what you need to accomplish for that day, remember your schedule!
5. Give yourself a treat
There is no best feeling in this world than turning on your Netflix with a plate of food after a long busy day! Reward yourself for completing all your schoolwork because you deserve it.
Good job, Klasmeyts!
