Stigma

The fresh graduate stigma has been going on for years. Having trouble finding a job after college was never new but what makes it even harder is the high qualifications and the experience the employers are looking for.
Another factor that makes things difficult for fresh graduates is when the quality of work is being equated to age. Competition doesn’t end in college because they have to compete with job hunters who already have gained their fair share of work experiences.
Employers should not mind the skill gap of fresh graduate students to those who already have experience in their career field because they are just getting started in the new chapter of their lives. The appetency to learn and commit to their job is like no other, the strong momentum that they have is very beneficial for the company.
Since they are new to the industry, they still need episodes of training that can prepare them for the job. The lack of experience is normal and they can obtain it from the job they are applying for, it doesn't mean that they are incapable of anything.
Fresh graduates may be inexperienced people but companies should consider the fact that they bring new perspectives, they are versatile, and they are eager to learn more. They can bring a huge contribution for greater success in the company because they want to establish a good reputation.
They are the ones that will lead in the future, that’s why hiring them is not just an advantage for the employer but also for the fresh graduate applicants who are searching for a company that can help them hone their knowledge and skills. It’s about time to end the fresh graduate stigma and be open to promising potentials.
