May 11, 2021— According to Vaccine Czar Sec. Carlito Galvez, Jr., 2,409,235 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the Philippines as of May 8, 2021.

A1 or the health workers received 1,513,883 doses out of that total.
1,957,965 individuals received their first dose of vaccine. Reports have revealed that 665,966 are from NCR, 182,961 in CALABARZON, and 157,347 are from Central Luzon.
On the other hand, 451,270 individuals completed their two-dose vaccine. 129, 223 are from NCR, 10,154 in CALABARZON, and 15,248 in Central Luzon.
Records show that an average of 35,320 people are vaccinated every day.
The country so far received a total of 7,764,050 COVID-19 vaccine doses, 90 percent of which were Sinovac vaccines. The remaining 10% is made up of AstraZeneca and Russia's Sputnik V – 2,556 doses and 15,000 doses.
Last May 5, DOH Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje reported that the distribution of 15,000 doses of the Russian-made Sputnik V vaccine had already begun in Metro Manila.
“Nagsimula tayo magbakuna kahapon, may naitala po tayong 2,634 na nabakunahan ng Sputnik V,” she said.
As of May 10, the Philippines had recorded 59,897 active cases, 1,030,367 recoveries, and 18,562 deaths. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has reached 1,108,826.
